The 10-peso commemorative coin was issued by the Republic of Cuba in 1994 and is dedicated to the 15th FIFA World Cup, which was held in the United States.
The obverse depicts the national coat of arms of Cuba with traditional national symbols. The coat of arms of Cuba is a shield topped with a Phrygian cap, framed by oak and laurel branches, symbolizing freedom, strength and glory of the country. The reverse side features a composition with a hanging bridge over the Golden Gate Strait and two football players, one of whom passes a pass to the other.
